Having a child will change life as you know it. Suddenly you will be putting someone else's needs before your own. Also, you will be putting someone else's wants before your own. Ah ha, it's imperative to remember that part. The truth is you may not already do this with your significant other. I know that it's written somewhere that you're supposed to. Regardless, many individuals do not. They remain selfish and unaware of their partner's needs and wants. Yeah, just ask my husband. He knows all about that. No matter how much I give, I get less than half in return. He claims that it's supposed to be this way. Whatever! Anyway, enough with the personal ranting. When your newborn child arrives, you'd better be ready to give, give, give. That's part of the package. Yikes, I just had a scary thought. What if you have twins? I have no idea what I would have done if I would have had twins. This definitely would have thrown me for a loop. I mean one child is quite a bit, but two would be a handful.
